A meyer lemon is a cross between a regular lemon and a mandarin orange. Meyer lemons are a bit more round than a regular lemon is and Meyers also have a smoother, thin, deep yellow/orange skin with a dark yellow pulp.

The flavor of a meyer lemon is sweeter and less acidic than a regular lemon. They have all the great “zip” you get from a regular lemon but its accompanied with a hint of mandarin orange sweetness that you can’t get anywhere else.
